2 Scripts are included - the health reserve system and the health reserve pickup script
This script adds a separate health reserve value which will act as storage for extra health. When damaged, you will start to heal and the reserve health will be used. If it runs out, you'll no longer heal until you find more reserve health.
The scripts contain 6 customizable options
You can customize the cooldown for how long it takes to start healing after you're hurt, the threshold (if health falls below this number, healing will begin), the name of the reserve health pickups, how much reserve health is added by pickups, the maximum reserve health, and the initial amount of reserve health.
In my mind, I imagine armor, medical supplies you could be carrying, or even the character's wellness.
How to use:
(Optional) - Customize the scripts to your liking using the provided help instructions in the scripts
1 - Attach the health reserve script to an entity
2 - Set the entity to always running yes
3 - Set the entity to static no
(Optional) - Attach the health reserve pickup script to a collectible entity
(Optional) - Attach a sound to that pickup in the first slot
4 - Play!
